Inaugural Event: Food & Wine Wednesdays at King Street Kitchen Company

Inaugural Event: Food & Wine Wednesdays at KSKC
- It's Not A Party Unless It's A Shindig! -

Well, that's what happened last Wednesday night at King Street Kitchen Company’s inaugural Food & Wine Wednesday Friend and Family gathering. One of our guests, Ms. June, commented that, "this has been so much fun…you've created a warm ambiance with old and new friends. This is what I consider the best example of what a kitchen should be.”

Last Wednesday night our front showroom was full of foodies who were in awe of Executive Chef Nico Romo of Fish Restaurant. He not only charmed the crowd and entertained us all, but also instructed us on each step of making his famous Shrimp Spring Rolls. As he described each of the ingredients needed to make this light Thai-infused recipe and the Asian Market where these ingredients are available, everyone listened in awe of Chef’s passionate description of each step of his recipe. As he artistically rolled fresh ingredients, guests leisurely sipped on several hand picked wines presented by Stephen Bates, owner of The British Wine Merchant here in Charleston.

Chef Nico then invited the friends of King Street Kitchen Company to participate by rolling their own spring rolls…and viola! EVERYONE was engaged. Another guest, Julie, commented that, "this is really a great time, delicious tastings, and I can't wait until ya'll do this again!"

Check out our blog, sign up for news and events on our home page, and stay tuned for details on our next "shindig". Please come and visit with us at 543 King Street and meet Charleston's Finest and Most Creative Kitchen Design Specialists–we help you design, construct, or even renovate your kitchen so that you can "Discover Your Inner Chef,” too!
